Hi everyone!
I am sending out this email to ask you all to help me with a conference
project. To make it short, I am asking you for help because I know you to
have read all or most of the Harry Potter books. For this project, I am
discussing the similarities of children's and adults' psychological
responses to the novels. I am using a book called "Kid's Letters to Harry
Potter." My personal research, to compliment the study done which resulted
in that book, is the compilation of adults letters to Harry Potter. What I
am asking you all to do is to take a very short amount of your time and
write a letter, somewhere in the neighborhood of a page, but as long or
short as you like, to Harry Potter. It can be a fan letter, love letter,
sympathy letter, anything at all you want it to be. It can be written as
though you have heard his story on the news, as though you've read his
books, as though you know him personally, whatever, just as long as it is
reflective of your true feelings as a person of your age. For the project,
if you like, you can remain anonymous, but I need your age and gender.
If you don't have time, I completely understand, but this needn't take
more than a few minutes, and can be really fun! Feel free to forward this
email to anyone you think might be interested in helping. Please email
your letter as either a word document, apple works document. :)
